In Amy Lindsay’s defense: she has said she is a “Christian and a conservative”–which means she serves a more forgiving god than Ted. Actually (“for those who have ears”), the ad was a message: showing how god brings to our lives and enterprises those who we would reject, but through forgiveness have a seat in his circle. Clearly Ted has never been to the well! In was a nudge to a man willing to shutter government and cost families $24 billion in 16 days who has no compassion. He is more likely to have a pact with Satan.
Cruz treats religion teachings like it is a series of multiple choice questions, some of which can be thrown out and not graded by being reclassified. Abortion, check. Immigration, it belongs to Caesar. Is he using faith to advance his politics, in his having a preacher-spokesperson in every SC county?
In a 2013 700 Club interview, he argued “the fundamental natural rights of man are given to every one of us by God, and the role of government is to protect those rights. I think anyone in politics has a special obligation to avoid being a pharisee, to avoid ostentatiously wrapping yourself in your faith. Because I think in politics, it’s too easy for that to become a crutch, for that to be politically useful.” I fear he doesn’t practice what he preaches!
He read Dr. Seuss to his kids (costing millions!), but he is more like another favorite from Alice’s Wonderland, a character modeled on a gargoyle found in an English church who fades, leaving us with only a fiendish grin, the Cheshire cat.

~~Nope–he’s the destructive Jabberwocky, who lays waste to everything.
~~America the Stupid doesn’t even know the defference between powers and rights. You do not have the right to do something simply because you have the power to do it.
